A finished and delivered teapot

The Teapot is done!

I finally finished the teapot and backed it with some rose fabric I found at a thrift store in Portland. This thrift store is all about fabric, beads, buttons, knitting supplies, cross stitch, antique fabrics, quilts and more.
I also found some little flower buttons at the store and put five on each side on the upper edges of the design. The whole thing is finished with some pink ribbon around it, some nice pins and a bow. I delivered it to my friend and I hope she likes it!

I received my name for the next round of Year Long Prairie Schooler exchange. A name for the BlackBird Design exchange should be coming today or tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting started on both of them.

I'm also going to begin my gran'ma's and my mom's project. They are both lengthy and will take a while. Here is what they will look like when done.

Gran'ma wanted the dancing people. My mom chose the girl in the garden picture which is from a book of poems that she enjoyed from her childhood. I still need to start my daughter's letter J from Nora Corbett. I was waiting from some thread to arrive from our local store, Acorns and Threads. I will go pick them up this weekend.
It will be hard to decided which one to begin first!
It is rainy here in the NW. Great cross stitch weather. I have some tomatoes and garlic roasting in the oven so it smells delicious in my house right now. I am experimenting with roasting tomatoes that I put in the freezer from the garden last summer. They probably will have to much water content to roast well but they will still work wonderfully in homemade spaghetti sauce.
Have a great day!
